Aula Maxima, NUI Galway

Located in the University's Quadrangle Building, the upper floor of the Aula Maxima is regularly used for musical performances, including Music for Galway concerts. The high ceiling and large windows make for a pleasant and airy venue. The Aula Maxima is over 170 years old, and does not have step-free access.

Bailey Allen Hall, NUI Galway

The Bailey Allen Hall is the largest venue on the NUI Galway campus, and is used to host University conferrings, examinations, Open Days, fairs and conferences. It is also used regularly for public events, and has hosted concerts and musical festivals, including the Galway Fleadh Cheoil. The space is in demand throughout the year and must be booked well in advance.

Galway Cathedral

One of the most iconic buildings on the Galway skyline, the Cathedral of Our Lady Assumed into Heaven and St Nicholas is also one of the largest venues in the city. It regularly hosts musical recitals, in particular performances of liturgical works by local and visiting choirs.

Leisureland, Salthill

As well as its health and fitness facilities, the Leisureland complex in Salthill has a large conference centre that is regularly used for concerts and recitals. There is ample free parking available nearby.

Mick Lally Theatre, Druid 

The Mick Lally Theatre is the name of the main performance space in the Druid. It is located on Druid's Lane in the heart of Galway city's Latin Quarter. Druid is synonymous with high quality and innovative Irish theatre, and despite its modern facilities, the history of the venue is clear to see in its medieval stone walls.

St Nicholas Collegiate Church

Built in the 14th Century, St Nicholas Collegiate Church is an icon of Galway's medieval heritage. Located at the very heart of the city's Latin Quarter, the architecture, tiles, sculptures and carvings tell the history of the city in stone. The church is used for many types of concert and events, with groups from near and far regularly performing there.

Town Hall Theatre

The Town Hall Theatre comprises a state-of-the-art 400-seater Main Auditorium, a 52-seater Studio Space, a bar and gallery at their location on Courthouse Square. The Theatre is home to the annual Galway Film Fleadh, and hosts a wide range of dramatic and musical performances throughout the year.
